Come see Amarillo – a George Strait Tribute live at the Mitchell Opera House on October 10th, 2026 starting at 7p!

The concept for the show “Amarillo” – A Tribute to the King of Country” began in 2024 as the result of a discussion between two long-time musicians who shared a love of playing country and western swing music that features fiddle, steel, guitar, and honky-tonk piano. And what artist better encompasses ALL of that than George Strait! So, after seeking out and finding just the right combination of like-minded musicians, the concept was transformed into a reality.

Rehearsals began in the fall of 2025, with the debut concert coming together in March of 2026. The band consists of eight very experienced musicians, along with two equally talented sound and lighting technicians, all coming together in one show to pay tribute to the King of Country music…Mr. George Strait!

Tickets are $25 for adults and $13 for kids 12 and under.

Tickets can also be purchased with cash or check at ACE in Mitchell or at the ticket booth the night of the event with cash, check, or card!

Doors will open at 6:15 p.m.
Mitchell Opera House is handicap accessible.
Food and drinks are not permitted in the auditorium.
All seating is first come, first served.
