Welcome to the Mitchell Opera House
Originally built in 1906 and completely restored in 2015, the historic Mitchell Opera House enjoys a rich tradition of community events, film screenings and live music entertainment. Recalling the days when the Monon Line connected with the B&O Railroad, the Opera House now serves as a permanent hub for the arts in Southern Indiana.
With a stage once graced by Broadway’s biggest stars, leading films and their producers, and even the President of the United States, the Mitchell Opera House invites you back to a simpler time. Buy a ticket, bring the family, and try to keep your toes from tapping!
Event tickets can be purchased in advance here on our website through Eventbrite, or at ACE/Ben Franklin in Mitchell. Tickets are also available at the door the night of the event.
