Fearless…
As a young girl, the world around Jordan was well… overstimulating. Sensory Processing Disorder (SPD) turns everyday experiences into overwhelming and sometimes, frustrating challenges; bright lights, loud noises, and this fast-paced world, all affected Jordan in ways that most people couldn’t understand. Disabilities like SPD have a way of shaping the lives of those it afflicts and, in many ways, defines who they are… but not Jordan. At 7 years old she decided the only thing that would define who she was is HER. She signed up for musical theater and blazed a trail forward. What should have been her biggest adversary, ended up being her sanctuary. 13 years later, she was one of the most accomplished performers in her community. Despite her success, Jordan changed course and embraced her true love, country music. Since then, Jordan has been performing across the country, paying her dues playing venues from small dirt-floor barns to dance clubs to theaters and big-stage festivals. Her journey has taken her across the nation. It’s hard to say where Jordan’s fearless spirit will take her next.
Jordan continues to make her way as a performer and an advocate for those who share her Sensory Processing Disorder diagnosis. She was recently named Youth Ambassador for the STAR Institute and regularly shares her journey and experience.
Jordan expresses herself through her music and some of her songs exist as powerful statements about her beliefs and attitudes. Bring it On represents Jordan’s perseverance and strength in the face of her challenges as much as I Hope Heaven is a Small Town and Angels Working Overtime reflect Jordan’s Christian faith and belief in God. Caring about others and being genuine are cornerstones of Jordan’s heart while her fearlessness and drive gives energy to her free spirit. She performs a mix of her own original music as well as popular cover songs.
